A bit of back history: We've decided sort of in retrospect that The Bo had water in his ears for about 6-9 months after his first birthday. Probably exacerbate by his ability to shut out all else when he really wants to focus (a common trait in our families). This delayed his speech enough that he qualifies for the local Early Childhood Special Education class. And he loves it. I can see why. It's a great class, great teacher, small class size (8-10 kids as opposed to 25 -30) with the individual attention that comes from that and the cherry on top is the short bus (with stop sign, on the side!) picks him up from our door step. It's the complete and utter bomb.
Anyway, to get back to the video, it's so exciting that he now wakes up 30 to 40 minutes before the bus comes (around 6:30 am). And so I've added free play time (ie, go upstairs and I'll be up in just a bit) to his morning routine. So last Friday morning I wind my zombie way up the stairs to see a little bowed head concentrating on his blocks and managed to get the camera to catch the last half of the word play.
=) and the first word of the day shows what his plans are!
Though, he's been playing word games with blocks for awhile. I didn't catch it on tape, but he started (for an inscrutable reason) with the word elephant, but as the block set has only one e, he spelled it elphants and started every word game he could with it for nearly a month.
Anyway, I thought I'd share the silliness.
Oh, and not to show favoritism, here is a wild little Roo. It shows his excitement, if not his cooperation. =)
