Juggling

I've juggled a couple times in public recently. Last week was the county farmers' market opening. It rained. Not heavily, but a constant drizzle. This made juggling interesting, as well as slippery. Which made knife-juggling nearly impossible. I did it anyway.

Two of the kids at the market were very interested, and ended up learning most of what they need to know to start juggling. Had several people ask if I did birthdays and the like. Some asked for business cards so they could contact me. I'll have to think about printing some up.

Juggling is a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of work. My knees and back were complaining after that. It's taken about a week, and some stretching and practice to get back in condition.

I went back and juggled for a few minutes today. Hannah went garage-sale-shopping while I watched Bo, which meant that I couldn't do anything besides watch him until she got back. He enjoyed an impromptu little bridge of 2x4s someone put up across the small stream at the market (it's been raining a lot recently, and the lot they're on has a wet-water spring), as well as throwing rocks into the mud.

I'm thinking about getting some new toys (see my last post... shiney). Debating between a rolla-bola, 9 section staff (otherwise known as a chain whip), or a unicycle. I'd be tempted to go with some fire props, but there's so many circumstances where they're unusuable.
